ShikiFactory100 partners met together for the first time since the project's kick off meeting in Brussels, Februrary 2019. A total of 45 representatives joined together in Braga to present updates from the first 6 months of the ShikiFactory100 project and to discuss upcoming deliverables and planned next steps for all work packages. 

The ShikiFactory100 project is a multidisciplinary project which relies on the combined skill sets of synthetic biologists, microbiologists, computational biologists, organic chemists and industrial exploitation partners. This meeting therefore offered the opportunity for attendees to share invaluable knowledge with partners with different areas of expertise and encouraged a number of vital interdisciplinary talks and discussions regarding the project's progression.
